Lifestyle Marketing Manager
At Milk Products, we define the Lifestyle Business Segment as: a market segment that serves customers in rural areas that raise animals for fun, food and fiber, and are not raising animals as a primary source of income for the household.
The qualified candidate will possess:
- College degree in marketing or related field, or animal science with marketing emphasis.
- Four or more years of marketing experience required, preferably in agribusiness area.
- Excellent verbal/written communications.
- Ability to achieve aggressive goals and work in a team environment as both a member and a leader.
- Must be customer-focused and have experience working closely with sales.
- Strong time management and negotiation skills required.
- 25% travel potential in U.S.
Areas of Responsibility Include:
- Develops, recommends, and executes short term and long term product line plans to achieve profit and volume objectives:
- Marketing plans & budgets
- Volume goals (coordinate with Sales)
- Lifestyle Business Segment investment
- Profit planning
- Marketing programs including advertising, consumer and customer promotions, where applicable, for assigned business segment
- Product pricing
- Web design, supervision and execution
- Plans and directs marketing programs with sales to maintain sales and customer relationships.
- Collaborates with production, QA and distribution as needed to aid in efficient production and distribution planning. Recommends product line structure and functional product characteristics to meet the needs of the marketplace.
- Utilizes and conducts market research as necessary to assist in decision-making and evaluate competitive factors.
- Determines packaging graphics and inputs as to package functionality to achieve optimum communication and product protection/presentation.
- Manages assigned line extension activity to help ensure a flow of profitable new products.
- Formulates new products, develops novel products and coordinates new/novel ingredient evaluation and nutrition concepts with appropriate technical, purchasing, and production staff.
