Milk Products Celebrates 100 Year Anniversary in Dairy Manufacturing

Milk Products' roots are firmly planted in Chilton, WI. The 100 year history begins with a property purchase from Calumet Cold Storage by the Carnation Company in 1911. In July of that same year, production of Carnation Evaporated Milk began and continued until 1954. The Chilton plant location was remodeled to manufacture instantized, powdered milk - producing the famous red and white boxes until Carnation's milk replacer manufacturing was moved from Kansas City to Chilton in 1979. The process Carnation perfected to hydrate and instantize milk was used to produce powder-based animal feed products, and is still largely in place today. More >>
